Which activities can you do in Maspalomas?

Maspalomas is well known for its big mountains of sand. Dunes where you can see very beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

This location is 3 kilometres long, and has a beautiful lighthouse that is really typical in the area. It will make you fall in love with the place and make you think it was worth the travel.

Another characteristic of Maspalomas is the group of beaches it has. They are really big and have fine sand. One of them is Meloneras Beach.

The gastronomy of Maspalomas is also brilliant, because this location is thought to be enjoyed by tourists. Here you can find a lot of restaurants to enjoy the typical canarian food, like “papas arrugadas con mojo canario”, traditional fishes from the area, canarian cheese, local wines and a lot of recipes waiting for you to try them.

You can also visit the archaeological park Maipés de Agaete or the Cueva Pintada museum. Gran Canaria is a place with a lot of history and marks of past civilizations.

For example, in Galdar village, you can visit Cueva Pintada, discovered in the XIX century by a local farmer and where they discovered really old paintings related to moon’s calendars and sun’s calendars.
